    Biotrue multi-purpose solution is indicated as a rub regimen. This is the preferred method of cleaning recommended by eye care practitioners.
  • Can I use Biotrue multi-purpose solution directly in the eye to rewet contact lenses?
    Biotrue is not approved for direct in the eye use.
  • How long can you store your lenses in Biotrue multi-purpose solution?
    Contact lenses can be stored in Biotrue multi-purpose solution for up to 30 days in an unopened lens case. If stored longer than 30 days between wear, lenses will need to be cleaned and disinfected prior to use.
  • Will renu® multi-purpose solutions still be available?
    Yes, renu® fresh™ and renu® sensitive™ multi-purpose solutions will still be available at retail locations.
  • Can Biotrue multi-purpose solution be used with extended and daily wear soft lenses?
    Yes, Biotrue multi-purpose solution is indicated for soft contact lenses including silicone hydrogel lenses.
  • Can Biotrue be used with RGP lenses?
    Biotrue is formulated and has proven compatibility with silicone hydrogel and hydrogel soft contact lenses. Biotrue is not indicated for use with GP (RGP) lenses.
  • I have a sensitivity to sulfa – will I have a problem with Biotrue?
    Sulfa drugs are sulfonamides and may cause hypersensitivity (allergies). However, sulfobetaine, found in Biotrue, is a sulfonate and not a sulfonamide. Therefore, people who are allergic to sulfa drugs are not necessarily allergic to Biotrue.
